A ride to the top of the mountain

In all my 60 years - I have NEVER been on a ski lift. We have gone sking many, many times..but I was always the one waiting at the bottom for everyone to return.

Part of the music festival was at the top of the mountain in Red River...other than hiking (up to 10,000 feet) you ride the lift. So I did...it was a white knuckle ride - but I did it. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be when there is snow on the ground !!

 Good things for sunglasses, you can't see the fear in my eyes !! WHEWWWWWWW

Hot summer days and cool mountain nights - Red River, NM

For the first time, Wheatie and I took a REAL (just the two of us) vacation and made it out to Larry Joe Taylor's music festival. It was a blast........

An 11 hour plus drive.......

These kiddos are amazing, I miss them terribly and enjoy my week with them SO MUCH !

Weddings

Wheatie and I haven't been to a wedding, in well, can't remember.....until the last two weekends. Weddings have come along way from ours, now you have to have a Youtube proposal that goes viral, sit down dinner, dancing, drinks and.....they say the average cost of  wedding these days is over $31,000.00. WOW !!! I'll take my punch and cake in the church reception hall any day!!

The first one was  the daughter of a life long friend of Wheaties. Besides the AMAZING wedding, old friends met up for a evening that was worth more than the cost of wedding I am sure !

All Balls - THE LAST DAY

The boys were off to play golf (I think their day started a little slow because of all the ADULT beverages the night before)

Even had to share with the wild life .........

The rest of us opted for a movie INSIDE OUT
