Works of Art

I don't have the wonderful fortune of being close to any 4 of my grandangels. I try really hard to be a part of their lives and visit with them as often as Wheatie and I can. Face time and snail mail are my friends...

Sooooo - when we get "stuff" in the mail - my day is so much better. Since the day we were blessed with each and every one of them ~~ I have been keeping EVERYTHING they send to us in the mail or anything and everything they give us when we are with them.

Of course, for the most part their works of are have found their way to my fridge, sometimes to the point that I can't see the handle. Couple of weeks ago I found these really cool frames, where you can display WORKS OF ART.....now all those loving pieces of artwork that my grandangels take the time to do for me - have a WALL OF HONOR and I can see them each and every day. It is really cool that I can switch out when I get new ones (hint, hint)

The frames are proudly displayed in my kitchen for all to see and enjoy....

THANKS to my grand angels for taking the time for me and Pops !!
Love you guys to the moon and back....

Play Ball !!

It’s that time of year again – BASEBALL – I LOVE BASEBALL (actually you know I love ALL sports) – but I really, really love baseball. I love the Texas Rangers and today is their home opener.
I won’t be at the game today - not in person - but in spirit ! I will be watching and listening via the internet.
Today marks the 20 year anniversary of the ballpark - Ranger STadium, The Ballpark In Arlington and now Globe Life Park in Arlington - doesn't matter what they call it - it is home to the TEXAS RANGERS, my baseball team, my baseball town!!
Here we go Rangers, Here we go!!!

Our foster furbaby - Kyla. What a sweet girl!! We got her last week from the shelter - she came in as a stray. She will be staying with for this week and ready for adoption come this Saturday. This has proved to be so much fun and makes my heart so happy that this sweet animals are finding forever homes!!!
She is about 3 yrs - a beagle/heeler mix

She is very loving and already a little jealous when Sam gets attention

She has made herself right at home!!

Before Kyla - we had a one night house guest - Mocha
She was ready for adoption - but her foster mom was out of town
She came to spend the night with us and after only 5 minutes at Petsmart, she was adopted !!

Birthday Babies

February is a great month for a birthday - Chad's is the 20th (my firstborn) and Jaycee's is the 28th (his firstborn and my first grandangel)

The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS - and we enjoyed every minute!!

We went to park, did a little baseball practice, a little roller blading, a little walking.....

Jaycee had told me that she wanted a basketball for her birthday - well you can't have a basketball without somewhere to shoot...so Pops and I got her a basketball goal to go with her ball......

"On the days when we're running off in different directions
and those days when we manage to get a little time to our ourselves.....

On the nights when we're snuggled close
and on those when one or both of us fall asleep in front of the TV.......

On the weekends when we're hanging out and relaxing side by side
or when we're running around trying to get to all the things we put off during the week....

On the good days and busy ones,
in stressed times and down times....

I love you

and this crazy life we share......"

Odie's Forever Home

Lock, Stock and Barrel

For the last 118 years, The Fort Worth Show and Rodeo has come to town. It's the oldest indoor rodeo in the state. It never fails to be the best.

I love going to the rodeo and for the last 2 years, my younger brother and wife - along with others have made it. I think it is now consider an annual event.

Darla, Diane, Bill and Cayla

Gotta wear your Stetson to the rodeo..
