Saturday we were invited down to Elmott, Texas to the Christmas program at Heritage Homestead, a religious community where one of Gary's cousin lives.

Great dinner with family and new found friends.

The Christmas concert was breath taking!!! These are some amazing people, their love for God and family is one to be jealous of.

After the program, we were invited out to the lawn of the church for cookies and hot apple cider.

Monday night we made out third trip to the Bass Hall to see

Michael Martin Murphy.

We are making this an annual Christmas must see.

Meet Number 7 - Sugar

She is a 2year old cocker spaniel/schnauzer mix and a GEM ! She was surrendered by her owner because of health issues. Within hours of being available for adoption, an application was made. She was only with us one week before she was headed to her FUREVER home.

It didn't take her anytime to fit right in......

She has a fur brother, a big sister an a soon to be new baby to love.

I know she will be happy girl !!

November In the Book

November has come and gone

Sunrises and sunsets only found in the country........

broke records with cold and snow.......

We adopted out our last furbaby to an awesome family.....

We got a new eatin' place in town........

Miss Annabelle had her first dance recital..........

Spent some time with Chad and kids.......
lunch with Jaycee and Cody at school

Thanksgiving with 80,000 of our closest friends, turkey with some turkey's and my all time favorite football team......

To finish off the month and weekend, Chad had some high school friends out to the house along with family...

Pizza

Living where we do for the last 30 plus years, eating places have been few and far between. It usually meant at the least a 30 minute drive. Over the past 10 or so years, our "small" town has grown and we now have many places within a 15minute drive to eat.

The latest - PIZZA - oh yeah....

It's called - Slice, The Pizza Spot.

Seen the movie "Up" ? well, if you have then you know the main character in the movie is a dog named....Doug.

Meet Doug

He is a one and half year old Beagle/Bassett Hound mix.....a Bagel if you will....

He was our latest foster furbaby. What a gem. He was a owner surrender and we had him less than 10 days. He is such a sweet fellow and of course immediately fit right in with the rest of our family.

On his first trip to the weekly adoption event, he was adopted. He hit the gold mine. A bus load of high school volleyball girls, in town for a tournament, picked Petsmart to "kill time" before the next game. Of course, the girls immediately took over all the adoptable dogs. Doug and his future family soon became fast friends. Kristiana could not get enough of Doug and vice versa. She called her mom, her dad, she begged, she pleaded...she had to have this dog. Her mom was also in town with the team and within an hour - Doug was on his way to his new home.
He now has 5 human siblings and 6 fur siblings. Currently living on 60 acres, but in a month - he and his BIG family are headed to Colorado to live......

October Family Fun

October is such a wonderful time of the year...one of my favorite months.....

While I can't be with my sons and families...I can share in the love thru pictures.

We did get to spend some time with all of them and look forward to the coming months for lots more fun and family time together....
