The Twelve Days of Christmas

When Oliver Cromwell came to power in England, Catholics were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Tradition holds that Catholic parents developed "The Twelve Days of Christmas" to teach children their beliefs.

Tailgating - Cowtown Style

This past weekend, Wheatie and I had the honor (I guess) of hosting our Texas Exes friends from Austin. The Texas vs TCU game was played in Fort Worth - so we brought the party to us.

If anyone of you know Wheatie, cooking, grilling, talking, laughing, talking, grilling are one of his passions and does them all incredibly well. He never does anything that he doesn't put his whole heart into it.

The truck was packed and ready to hit the road.....at 7:00am

We were able to secure a large portion of the Alberston's parking (4 blocks) from the TCU campus. Much thanks to Noe for allowing us an awesome place to tailgate.
How much better does it get than this......if you forgot something, you just walk right across the parking lot to the store.

Will and Robert were the first to arrive for set-up
The weather was awesome

The crowds were growing

Besides hosting the tailgate, we had the HONOR of participating in the pre-game activities - which meant we were front and center to field. We held the American flag as the Star Spangled Banner was sang. What an awesome feeling.......
Mat, Caren, Wheatie, Myself, J.R. and Alyson

We stayed on the field and had seats (ground) in the north end zone where our Texas Longhorns came and went !
Folks, it doesn't get any better than this.....
